2011 has seen a number of automakers release brand new sport utility vehicles that significantly improve on the models that they are replacing. In addition to their design tweaks and upgrades, looming corporate average fuel economy regulations have led to a serious investment in more efficient drivetrains in almost every one of these models. In some cases the changes are dramatic, while certain other automakers offer a more evolutionary take on their refreshed vehicle platforms. The Edge has been given a technology update to go with its new look and feel, with the MyFord Touch LCD display system, available adaptive cruise control and a new navigation system rounding out its list of installed gadgets.
